My friend is 21 yrs of age and wants to get a meningococcal vaccination. What is the cheap way to get onw. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Talha,
There are several great places where your friend can get vaccines inexpensively.
* The Legacy Clinics offer services based upon ability to pay: http://www.legacycommunityhealth.org/
* $15 menningoccal vaccines are available at 4 county health centers: http://blog.chron.com/medblog/2012/01/15-meningitis-vaccines-still-available-in-houston/
* The IMUunization Clinic web site says they offer adult vaccines. I personally don’t know anything about them, but its another place to check. http://www.imunizationclinic.org/ADULT-IMMUNIZATIONS.html
* Your local CVS and Walgreens offer some adult vaccines, such as for varicella (chicken pox), flu and meningitis. I got my flu shot this year from a Walgreens and it cost $30.
I hope this helps. Let us know where your friend gets their vaccine.
